chapter 1 – sunlight
The moment before sun came up, something heavy fell on my heart. The dim light covered my chest in a textured but soft veil I’ve never felt before. I couldn’t even blink and the first ray of sunlight reached my cold skin. It was a different kind of heat: a combination of longing and entirety. I turn my head to look into his sparkling brown eyes. My coldness suddenly disappeared. I looked away. That was the first time my heart broke, but somehow I could feel new pieces interlinking with old ones. Pieces I never knew until then.
That was the beginning of my living.
